The hierarchical relationships in a sumo stable are quite strict, much like in many other sports.

Regarding toilet-related matters, it seems that some sumo wrestlers' stools are too large to flush without being broken up with chopsticks. Also, some are so overweight that they cannot reach their buttocks to wipe, hence they need their apprentices to do it for them.

It was interesting to see them eating meals naked. Is it only in summer?

The addition of a creaking sound effect when a sumo wrestler's hair is pulled during a match added a great sense of realism and was well done.

Episode 7, 19 minutes: Glass is scattered over a picture in a frame. However, since it's after the glass was smashed and scattered, there shouldn't be any glass on the picture. But for the sake of cinematic effect, scattering the glass makes the scene more visually appealing. It's common for dramatic effect to take precedence over reality.

Episode 7, 41 minutes and 30 seconds: First, there's a close-up of a hand, and then the camera zooms out to show the armrest.

In the scene where Kunishima visits Saruzakura in the hospital, Saruzakura's girlfriend asks him if he likes Saruzakura. He doesn't deny it but remains silent, which feels quite real.

Saruzakura's sumo topknot represents his attitude towards sumo. In the early stages, even when he's on the ring, his topknot is tied carelessly. However, after returning from the hospital, his topknot is done neatly, indicating his serious approach towards sumo.

The strength and seriousness towards sumo is highlighted when the protagonist overcomes mental and physical setbacks, resulting in a significant improvement. It's a classic, entertaining story that resonates well with the audience.

Saruzakura, meaning cherry blossom, might be a reference to Hanamichi Sakuragi from Slam Dunk.
