All human beings are 99.9 percent identical in their genetic makeup. Difference of personality, height, weight, susceptibility to disease, etc. depend on the remaining 0.1%.
However, from a subjective point of view, we often feel that each of us is distinct from others. Some of us might appear selfish, while others seem altruistic, and so on. This paradox of being almost identical genetically, yet perceiving strong individual differences, is amazing.
